Who We Are as the Discontented

Are you in discontent? Feeling blasé lately? Tired of sifting dead organic material in-between your lungs (aka fossil fuels)? Are you looking for the alternative? Are you searching for a more authentic life? So are we. So, too, are many others. This blog is a recording of our discovery:  discoveries of disappointment and frustration, discoveries of euphoria and liberation. It is a glimpse at what your fellow US citizens have done with the injustices of the world. This perspective is brought to you by Kathleen Reside and Samantha Leuschner.
Allow me to introduce Kathleen. When I think of Kathleen I picture phlegm…at this moment at least. But in all seriousness I imagine greeting the rising sun with sun salutations. I see little children running free in the meadow laughing, smiling, and looking forward to a kale-infused lunch they helped harvest from Kathleen’s epic organic garden. Later everyone will gather to play games and write long long letters to friends while enjoying a delightful dessert Kathleen thought of herself. Kathleen’s kindness, selfless love for all creation (we’ll see how long that lasts when she’ll be greeted with my face every morning) is amazing. In short: live life ‘huggably’ and on the sweet side. Thank you Kathleen for your ‘doer’ attitude. Peace and enlightenment (patience, too) on your quest.
Sam’s steely blue eyes are easily distracted by the beauty of Creation. Her long flowing curls blow in the wind on her runs through the snow-covered mountains of West Virginia. Her affection towards bitter roasted fair trade cocoa beans crafted into a high-quality chocolate bar rivals my ability to consume the richest of chocolate truffles. Beneath her many warm layers of purple fleece and flannel lies her loving, caring heart…but if you cut her off on the road, beware of the sharp words you will hear- the mouth of a sailor might appear! Despite the fact that she spent a period of her life neglecting the existence of soap, she manages to keep a positive spirit, curious mind, and clean car. Thanks Sam for agreeing to put up with me for 3 months- with love, Kathleen.
